discovering the terroirs of Hérault
A historic and significant cooperative in the Hérault department, the Montagnac cooperative winery was founded in 1937. It has always been a major player in viticulture in Hérault, one of the largest French wine-growing regions.
It has successively merged with several wine cooperatives in its territory, including those of Usclas d’Hérault, Tourbes, Loupian, and most recently Terroirs de la Voie Domitienne, which itself resulted from the merger of 7 cooperatives (Poussan – Gigean – Cournonsec – Fabrègues – Montbazin – Balaruc – St Bauzille de Putois).
For several months, the cooperative winery has been engaged in a collective effort to create a new identity and a unifying, strong, and meaningful brand name.
After nearly 90 years of history, Les Vignerons Montagnac Domitienne are now entering a new chapter with the unveiling of their new brand name: GALHYOS.
This change aims to strengthen the unity of our members, showcase our collective expertise, and increase the visibility of our wines.

A rich & diverse vineyard
425 winegrowers deliver the fruit of their labor each year in Tourbes, Lézignan-la-Cèbe, Loupian, Cournonsec, or Montagnac.
They are the key players in a cooperative winery, at the source of the wines’ quality. Thanks to the diversity of its terroirs and the quality of its two vinification cellars in Montagnac and Cournonsec, Galhyos is now a leading player in its field.

Its AOP Picpoul de Pinet
While Galhyos is recognized for the overall quality of its wines, its AOP Picpoul de Pinet remains an undisputed benchmark. Produced exclusively from the Piquepoul grape variety, typical of the Mediterranean coast, this dry white wine expresses all the richness of a unique vineyard influenced by the proximity of the Étang de Thau.
